Changes at Camp Burnamwood & Conference Center
Below you will find a resignation letter from Lee Boyd as the Interim Director of Burnamwood. The Presbytery’s Burnamwood Committee has accepted his resignation with deep thanksgiving for the many good things he has brought to life at Burnamwood in the past three years. We wish him Godspeed as he pursues several new opportunities and look forward to thanking him officially at a going away party at Burnamwood on February 2, 2008.
The Burnamwood Committee has acted to fill the void left by Lee’s departure by calling two members of our Committee to act as Co-Directors of the Camp from now through the summer. The Co-Directors are Pete Jones and Barrett Milner.
Pete is a member of Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church, a senior at Lexington Theological Seminary, a candidate under care of the Presbytery, the youth director at MSPC, and a seasoned Burnamwood veteran, having served as a counselor for numerous events, as a volunteer director, and as permanent summer staff. He is married to Annie Jones, has two daughters, and a third on the way. Barrett is a member of First Presbyterian, Lexington, a second year student at Lexington Theological Seminary, a candidate under care of the Presbytery, the campus minister at Transylvania University, and also a seasoned Burnamwood veteran, having served as a counselor for numerous events, as a volunteer director, and permanent summer staff. He has been a member of the Burnamwood Committee for three years. He is married to Carrie Milner.
The Burnamwood Committee is very excited about this new chapter and the many possibilities for the future. We will be presenting a new Master Plan at the Spring Presbytery meeting which we believe will greatly increase our ministry in Transylvania Presbytery.
859-494-9113 is the Burnamwood Cell Phone. You can reach either Pete or Barrett at this number any time.

Grace and peace,
Woody Berry (Chair of the Burnamwood Committee)

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I am writing today because my time as the Interim Executive Director of the Burnamwood Camp and Conference Center has come to a close. The last three years have without a doubt been
the best three years of my life to date. We have accomplished some great things together in a very short amount of time. I have had the opportunity to witness the power of Christ through the hundreds of volunteers, staff, children, and youth that have shared the ministry of camp. I have seen him at work in the many churches I have visited over the years. Through your generous support we have systematically improved the facilities and revitalized the programming. When I began three years ago the Presbytery entrusted me with one of its most coveted missions. I have done my best in that time to preserve its history and prepare it for the future. I believe in the power of the ministry at Burnamwood and will keep its families in my prayers.
Shalom,
Lee Boyd
