BE A PART OF A SUMMER OF SERVICE
Burnamwood Appalachian Ministries (BAM) is a mission outreach camp that operates year round. During the Summer, a different youth or adult group travels to Burnamwood each week to participate in community service projects that benefit families and other non-profit organizations throughout Eastern Kentucky communities. The BAM staff are responsible for implementing this summer of service and supporting volunteers from across the nation!
WHY WORK FOR BAM?
BAM is a place that seeks to host volunteers of varying skills in a week of community service. Not only will you be encouraging your volunteers to try new things, but you will be encouraged in your individuality and leadership. Throughout the summer, you work with unique and friendly staff who will be there for you every step of the way. Every day is a new adventure at BAM, but you will have people behind you, encouraging you when you say “YES!” to trying something new and helping those in the community.
HEALTHY LIVING
Spend your days being active, exploring the beautiful 500 acres of Burnamwood and the Central Appalachia region. As a BAM staff member you’ll play an important role in leading and facilitating a week full of mission projects and recreation, helping instill an active and healthy lifestyle for all volunteers and hopefully, yourself all summer long!
TEAM WORK
BAM operates through the hard work of a small, tight-knit staff. Each staff member plays an important role in executing a meaningful mission trip experience.
SPIRITUAL GROWTH
We believe in putting our faith into actions. We convey Christian faith by working hard to serve our neighbors and volunteers. The primary way we do ministry is caring for others as Jesus cared for us. Working at BAM, you will be surrounded by a faith-based community that will support you in your own spiritual journey!
ACHIEVING EXCELLENCE
As a BAM staff member, you will be challenged to grow physically, emotionally, and spiritually. You will be a teacher, counselor, coordinator, and leader. BAM is a vital ministry for hundreds of volunteers and dozens of non-profits and families in Central Appalachia. Because people are counting on us for help, we believe in giving the job everything we have in order to accomplish something wonderful!
